De werkzame stof in Loperamide AB is loperamidehydrochloride. Het behoort tot een groep geneesmiddelen die "antidiarrhoica" worden genoemd. Ze worden gebruikt voor de behandeling van diarree. Loperamide AB wordt gebruikt voor de symptomatische behandeling van acute diarree bij volwassenen en kinderen vanaf 15 jaar. U mag Loperamide AB niet langer dan 2 dagen gebruiken tenzij onder medische advies, met medische supervisie en monitoring.IndicatieGeneesmiddel voor de behandeling van diarree bij volwassenen en adolescenten vanaf 15 jaar. GebruiksadviesVolwassenen en tieners vanaf 15 jaar:Begin dosis: 2 capsules/tabletten (4 mg) bij de eerste losse ontlasting.Daarna: 1 capsule/tablet (2 mg) na elke volgende losse ontlasting.Maximale dagdosis: 8 mg (dus 4 tabletten of capsules) per 24 uur, tenzij anders voorgeschreven.IngrediëntenLoperamidehydrochloride 2 mg per capsule/tablet
