What data do we collect?

We collect the following data:

  • Analytics data: anonymised visitor statistics via Google Analytics 4 (page visits, device type, country, search terms on our site). Only collected after your consent.
  • Cookies on PharmaCompare: functional cookies (language and cookie consent) and, after consent, analytics cookies. When you deliberately follow a sponsored link, the affiliate network and retailer may set referral cookies on their own domains.
  • Search queries: the search terms you enter on our site, to improve our service.
  • Contact details: if you contact us via the contact form, we process your name, email address and message.

Why do we use your data?

  • To provide and improve our price comparison service
  • To analyse and optimise the use of our website
  • To track referrals to participating retailers (affiliate tracking)

Sharing with third parties

  • Awin AG — affiliate tracking for ICI PARIS XL
  • TradeTracker — affiliate tracking for De Online Drogist, Pazzox and other active feed partners

When you follow a sponsored outbound link, the affiliate network processes the click and redirects you to the retailer. These parties process data under their own privacy and cookie policies.

Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Necessary: language preference, cookie consent (always active)
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 — measuring website usage (after consent)
  • Affiliate referrals: Awin and TradeTracker may set a referral cookie on their domain or the retailer's domain after you click a sponsored link. PharmaCompare does not load marketing cookies from these networks on its own pages.
