OtherDecifera Alginate Dressing is een sterk absorberend wondverband dat bestaat uit calciumalginaat met carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). Bij contact met wondexsudaat ontstaat er een vormvaste gel. Dit zorgt voor een optimaal vochtig wondmilieu en bevordert zo de wondgenezing. Door de opname van wondexsudaat en debris heeft het verband een reinigend effect. Het behoudt voldoende structuur waardoor het gemakkelijk en pijnvrij uit de wond te verwijderen is. Het laat daarom geen restanten achter en biedt het een hoog draagcomfort aan de patiënt. De alginate dressing is ook te gebruiken bij geïnfecteerde wonden. IndicatieBehandeling van matig tot sterk exsuderende wonden en geïnfecteerde wonden.
