We compared 3,682 products available at two or more pharmacies. The result is surprising:
- Viata.be — cheapest for 802 products (64.3% of their overlapping range)
- De Online Drogist — cheapest for 748 products (54.2%)
- Medi-Market.be — cheapest for 570 products (38.0%)
- 24Pharma.be — cheapest for 416 products (47.3%)
- Newpharma.be — cheapest for 299 products (47.0%)
- Farmaline.be — cheapest for 197 products (30.7%)
No single pharmacy is always cheapest. The winner depends on the product and category.

This analysis is based on current pricing data in the PharmaCompare database:
- 39,628 products tracked across 7 pharmacies and retailers
- 3,682 products comparable at 2+ sources
- Prices updated daily via automated scrapers
- Only in-stock products counted
- Matching via CNK code, EAN code, or product name
Who wins by category?
Medicines
Viata is the clear winner with 108 lowest prices, followed by De Online Drogist (64) and Medi-Market (55). Newpharma wins only 16 times in this category.
Vitamins & Supplements
De Online Drogist wins here with 85 products, followed by Viata (45) and 24Pharma (40).
Skin Care
Viata dominates with 115 wins, followed by Medi-Market (96) and De Online Drogist (73).
Baby & Child
Medi-Market is cheapest (26 products), followed by Viata (16) and Newpharma (14).
Hair Care
Viata wins again (28 products), followed by Medi-Market (16) and De Online Drogist (14).
Is Newpharma expensive then?
No, that's not what the data says. Newpharma is cheapest for nearly half (47%) of their overlapping range. But they have a smaller overlap (636 products) compared to Viata (1,248) or Medi-Market (1,500).
The claim '10% cheaper than recommended price' may well be true — but other pharmacies are often even cheaper than Newpharma.
